Officer, former Vandy football player investigated for rape

KNOXVILLE (WATE) – An Oak Ridge Police Department Officer was terminated from his job while the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) investigates statutory rape allegations.

District Attorney General Dave Clark said TBI determined that there was probable cause to believe that on at least one occasion, while on duty, Cassen Jackson-Garrison had sexual intercourse with a sixteen-year-old girl. Clark said his office plans on bringing charges to an Anderson County Grand Jury.

Oak Ridge Police Department started investigating after the girl’s stepfather, who is in custody, said Garrison made inappropriate contact with their his stepdaughter. Clark said Garrison was one of the officers that responded to a domestic violence complaint at the house that the stepfather was later arrested for.
