Alphabet Soup: Colleges, Correctness and Comedy

Yesterday I had the misfortune of walking in on my grandmother’s talk show program while they were discussing political correctness and comedy. She watches it almost every single day, and normally it just makes me slightly uncomfortable because it feels like a bunch of women gossiping, but that’s a different story. This time, though, after overhearing their commentary on the most recent “news”, I got pretty angry. Here’s the gist of what they were talking about: Jerry Seinfeld, that one famous white male comedian responsible for the Bee Movie, recently said that he doesn’t play colleges because they’re too politically correct.
